Saturday, November 24th is “Shop Small Business Saturday"

Bundle up and head to your local downtown! Saturday, November 24th is “Shop Small Business Saturday” and shopping local is vital to the health of your community.

Shopping locally is important! Why? Because an average of two-thirds of every dollar ($0.67) spent at small businesses in the U.S. stays in the local community and local businesses creates jobs (verses shopping online which brings zero dollars or jobs to your community) for all levels of education and skill sets; consumers’ local impact during the up-coming holiday shopping season could be significant! According to a new study by American Express, small businesses are responsible for $4.8 trillion in gross domestic product (gdp) which is equivalent to the third largest economy in the world!
