The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority (LHVA) wants to undertake a project to work with, and support businesses along the 70-mile Lackawanna River Heritage Trail (LRHT). The LRHT from Pittston to Carbondale; connects with the D&H Trail in Simpson. By attracting trail users to those businesses, LHVA anticipates providing more services and retail to trail users and supporting the existing economies. This project aligns with 3 of LVHAA’s goals:

• Facilitating partnerships

• Preserving and enhancing the economic vitality of the communities in the Lackawanna Valley

• Improving the visitor experience
